TERMS OF SERVICE
Last updated: May 30, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using TieUp ("we," "us," or "our"), including our website [TieUpToday.com] (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review it carefully. Your continued use of the website, including by navigating pages, interacting with features, or accepting cookies, constitutes your acceptance of the Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.
2. Nature of the Service
TieUp is an online platform where private dock owners ("Owners") may list dock spaces, and boaters or renters ("Renters") may find, contact, and — where a listing has in-app booking enabled — book and pay Owners for dock space, with payments processed by Stripe. TieUp also provides optional in-app messaging between Renters and Owners. TieUp does not own, operate, control, manage, or guarantee any docks or listings. TieUp is not a party to the rental agreement between Owners and Renters.
2.1 No Business or Agency Relationship
Your use of the Service does not create any partnership, joint venture, employer–employee, agency, fiduciary, or other business relationship between you and TieUp. TieUp is not a party to any agreements or transactions between Owners and Renters and has no responsibility or liability for such transactions.
3. No Moderation or Control
You acknowledge and agree that:
- Limited Automated Verification: TieUp's review of submissions is strictly limited to an automated process that checks a submitted photo to confirm a dock appears to be present and that the submitter's device location matches the submitted address. This check is performed entirely by automated systems (including a third-party AI image-analysis service). TieUp does not moderate, verify, or pre-screen listings for safety, accuracy, legality, or quality, and no human reviews submissions.
- No Endorsement: TieUp does not endorse, approve, or guarantee any listings, dock owners, renters, or transactions. The limited automated verification described in Section 3.1 confirms only that a submitted photo appears to show a dock and that the submitter's location matches the submitted address; it is not a verification of the safety, legality, accuracy, ownership, or quality of any dock or listing.
- Third-Party Responsibility: All listings are created and posted by third parties. Users are entirely responsible for the content of their listings and their conduct.
- Removal Rights: While TieUp does not actively moderate the content of listings, we reserve the right to remove access or content in response to user reports, security concerns, or legal obligations.
- No Business Relationship: Use of the website or the administrative submission process does not create a business relationship, partnership, or agency.
3.1 Administrative Access Control
To prevent map vandalism and unauthorized listings, TieUp requires users to complete an automated verification before they can add or edit listings. This verification uses automated systems — including a third-party AI image-analysis service — to check that a submitted photo appears to show a dock and that the submitter's device location matches the submitted address. No human reviews or approves submissions. This automated check does not constitute a "vetting" of the user, a safety inspection of the property, or a guarantee of the listing's accuracy. It does not change that the user who submits the information remains solely responsible for its content and any real-world outcomes.
4. User Responsibilities and Assumption of Risk
4.1 Owners
By listing dock space, you represent and warrant that:
- You have all necessary legal rights, permits, and permissions to offer your dock space for rent.
- You are solely responsible for the safety, legality, condition, and maintenance of your dock.
- You are solely responsible for compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
4.2 Renters
By renting or contacting dock owners, you agree that:
- You use dock spaces at your own risk.
- You will comply with all applicable laws and the terms set by dock owners.
- You understand that dock conditions, safety, and legality are not guaranteed.
4.3 Assumption of Risk
By using any dock space found through TieUp, you acknowledge that water activities involve inherent risks including injury, death, or property damage or loss. You voluntarily assume all such risks and agree that TieUp bears no responsibility for any outcomes. TieUp strongly recommends that all users maintain comprehensive personal injury and property liability insurance. You acknowledge that TieUp does not verify insurance coverage and does not guarantee that other users are insured. You are solely responsible for obtaining appropriate insurance and verifying the insurance status of parties you transact with.
4.4 Compliance with Applicable Laws
Users are solely responsible for ensuring that their listings, dock use, and activities comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws, including zoning, harbor, boating, and environmental regulations. TieUp is not responsible for monitoring or enforcing legal compliance, and users assume all risk and liability for any violations.
4.5 No Legal or Safety Advice
TieUp does not provide legal, regulatory, maritime, or safety advice. Any information on the Service is for general informational purposes only and should not be relied on as professional guidance. Users are solely responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and safety standards.
5. No Warranty; "As Is" Service
The Service and all listings are provided "as is" without any warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, legality, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, availability, or reliability of any map data, pins, or listings.
5.1 Service Availability Disclaimer
We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. You agree that access to the Service may be affected by factors beyond our control.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TieUp:
- Shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data, or other intangible losses.
- Are not responsible for any damages or losses arising from use or inability to use the Service, dock listings, or transactions between users.
- Are not responsible for any injury, death, property damage, or legal violations resulting from dock use or rental.
7. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless TieUp, its owner, and its agents from and against all claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your breach of these Terms, or any rental transaction.
8. No Agency Relationship
You acknowledge that TieUp is not a party to any rental agreements between dock owners and renters. TieUp is a connection platform: it provides listings, messaging, and — for listings with in-app booking enabled — booking and payment facilitation through Stripe, including scheduling of booked dates and disbursement of owner payouts. TieUp is not itself a bank or money transmitter; payment processing is performed by Stripe. Beyond this facilitation, TieUp does not act as an agent, broker, insurer, or guarantor for any user, and the rental relationship remains solely between the dock owner and the renter.
8.1 Fees & Payments
Browsing, submitting, listing, and managing a dock listing are free of charge, as is dock verification. For listings with in-app booking enabled, booking payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. ("Stripe") on TieUp's behalf; TieUp deducts a platform fee of 2.5% of the booking subtotal from the dock owner's payout. Boaters are charged the listed rate with no added platform fee. Card details are collected and processed by Stripe and are never seen or stored by TieUp. Owner payouts are released through Stripe after the booking's check-in. Bookings may be cancelled free of charge until 48 hours before the first booked day; owner-initiated cancellations are refunded in full. Boat owners may be required to complete a one-time identity verification, processed by Stripe Identity, before booking. If TieUp changes its fees in the future, these Terms will be updated and the applicable charges will be disclosed before you incur them.
9. User Content
You retain all rights in the content you post, including listings and communications. By posting content, you grant TieUp a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, and display that content on the Service.
9.1 Map Content and Access Control
Map listings are created and stored by TieUp on our own infrastructure (hosted using Google Firebase / Google Cloud), not on Google My Maps. To prevent map vandalism, TieUp requires users to complete an automated verification before they can add or edit listings (see Section 3.1). By submitting a listing, you represent that you have the authority to list the property. Once verified, the user is solely responsible for creating, managing, and deleting their own listings. TieUp does not verify the content of listings beyond the automated check described in Section 3.1. Listings remain stored until the user or TieUp removes them. Users are solely responsible for managing the personal information they choose to include in their listings.
10. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Post false, misleading, illegal, or infringing listings or content.
- Use the Service to violate any laws or regulations.
- Interfere with the operation of the Service.
- Collect personal information from other users without consent.
- Engage in fraud or impersonation.
- Harass, threaten, or abuse others.
11. Reporting and Removal
While TieUp does not actively moderate or ban users or listings, you may report inappropriate or illegal content to us at help.tieup@gmail.com. We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to remove content or restrict access at our sole discretion. Reports will typically be reviewed within 24–48 hours of receipt. However, we do not guarantee immediate action and are not liable for content or conduct that occurs before we are able to review or act on a report.
12. Termination of Use
TieUp may terminate or suspend your access at any time for violations of these Terms or other reasons. Since the service has limited moderation, enforcement may be limited.
13. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time by posting changes on the Service. Your continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington. Any disputes arising shall be resolved by binding arbitration in Seattle, except where prohibited by law. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by submitting a written notice to help.tieup@gmail.com within 30 days of your first acceptance of these Terms. You agree to resolve disputes with TieUp on an individual basis and waive any right to participate in a class action or class-wide arbitration.
15. Contact Information
For questions or concerns, please contact:
Email: help.tieup@gmail.com
If you contact us via email, we may receive and store your email address and any information you include in the message for support or legal purposes.
16. Third-Party Services and Privacy
Our Service may include or rely on services from third parties, such as map tile providers (OpenStreetMap and CARTO), address lookup providers, an AI image-analysis provider used during dock verification, an email-delivery provider used to send verification results, a payment-processing and identity-verification provider (Stripe), and hosting/security providers (Google Firebase / Google Cloud and Cloudflare). These third parties may collect information about you, including cookies or IP addresses, when you interact with their content. We do not control these third-party data collection practices. For more information, please review their privacy policies, such as Google's Privacy Policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
17. Data Collection Notice
During dock verification, TieUp temporarily collects the information you submit (such as your email, the dock address, your device location, and a dock photo). The photo is processed by an automated AI image-analysis service solely to confirm a dock appears present, and all verification data — including the photo — is deleted once verification is complete. Information you choose to include in a published listing (such as contact details, address, and description) is stored by TieUp until you or TieUp removes the listing. We use Plausible Analytics to collect anonymous, aggregated website usage statistics that do not identify individual users. Your use of third-party services may be subject to their data practices, which we do not control.
18. Age Requirement
By using this Service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old. If you are under 18, you may not use this Service.
19. DMCA Takedown Policy
We respect the intellectual property rights of others and comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA"). If you believe that content on TieUpToday.com infringes your copyright, you may submit a DMCA notice to us. The notice must include:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized agent.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
- Identification of the infringing material, including the specific URL or description.
- Contact information of the complaining party (name, address, email, and phone number).
- A statement that the complaining party has a good faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner.
- A statement that the information provided is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that the complaining party is authorized to act on behalf of the owner.
Submit all DMCA notices to:
Email: help.tieup@gmail.com
Subject line: DMCA Notice – TieUpToday
We may remove or disable access to allegedly infringing content and may terminate repeat infringers.
19.1 Copyright Notice
TieUp respects the intellectual property rights of others. User-generated map listings are created by users and stored by TieUp. If you believe that any content on TieUp infringes your rights, please contact us using the DMCA process described in Section 19 and we will review and, where appropriate, remove the content.
20. Use Restrictions on Map and Site Content
All content on TieUp, including dock listings, descriptions, and map-related information, is provided for personal, non-commercial use only.
You may not:
- Copy, scrape, download, republish, reproduce, or distribute any part of the map data or listings, either manually or using automated tools (e.g., bots, crawlers, or scripts). Restrictions apply only to user-generated listings and description text, not to the underlying map tiles provided by OpenStreetMap and CARTO, which are governed by their own licenses.
- Use the information from our maps or listings to create, operate, or promote a competing service.
- Sell, license, or commercially exploit any portion of the Service's content without express written permission from TieUp.
- Violation of these terms may result in termination of access and potential legal action.
21. International Use and Legal Compliance
If you are accessing this Service from outside the United States, you are responsible for compliance with your local laws and understand that U.S. law governs these Terms.
22. Dock Safety and Compliance
Dock owners are solely responsible for ensuring their docks meet all applicable safety and legal requirements. The following are general safety considerations that some dock owners choose to address. These are informational suggestions only and do not constitute requirements, standards, or legal obligations. TieUp does not establish, mandate, verify, or enforce any safety standards.
Considerations may include:
- Structural Integrity: Stable, securely anchored docks capable of safely supporting intended users and boats. Non-slip surfaces are recommended.
- Mooring & Safety Equipment: Properly installed cleats, bollards, or mooring points. Life rings, life buoys, and ladders for renter safety.
- Signage & Notices: Relevant signage where applicable, such as weight limits, "no diving" warnings, local boating regulations, and environmental restrictions.
- Lighting & Accessibility: Adequate lighting for night use and clear pathways free of tripping hazards. Handrails where appropriate for safety.
- Environmental & Legal Compliance: Maintenance in accordance with local, state, and federal laws, including environmental, zoning, and harbor regulations. Debris removal and ensuring no hazards exist in or around the water.
- Optional Enhancements: Dock bumpers, fenders, and storage boxes to protect boats and maintain safe access.
By listing a dock, owners affirm they are solely responsible for all safety and legal compliance matters and assume all liability for any deficiencies. TieUp does not inspect, verify, endorse, or guarantee dock safety or compliance with any standards. Renters acknowledge that TieUp makes no representations about dock safety or condition and that they use all docks entirely at their own risk. Owners are solely responsible for maintaining safe conditions, and TieUp assumes no liability for dock conditions. Owners agree to indemnify TieUp for any claims arising from unsafe dock conditions.
23. Dock Price Calculator Disclaimer
The dock price calculator is provided for informational and estimation purposes only. Any pricing, earnings, or revenue amounts shown by the calculator are estimates, not guarantees, and are based solely on the data inputs provided by the user and general market assumptions.
Actual earnings may vary significantly based on factors including, but not limited to: location, demand, dock condition, amenities, seasonal changes, safety, and user reliability. TieUp does not guarantee that any user will earn a particular amount, receive bookings, or achieve any financial result.
By using the calculator, you agree that TieUp is not liable for:
- Any difference between estimated and actual earnings,
- Any lost income, missed opportunities, or booking issues,
- Any decisions you make based on the calculator’s results.
Users are solely responsible for setting their own prices and evaluating their own expected earnings. The calculator does not constitute financial, investment, valuation, appraisal, or professional advice, and users should not rely on it as a basis for any financial decision. All estimates are non-binding and are based only on the inputs provided by the user and general market assumptions.
This summary is for convenience only. The full Terms above legally govern your use of the Service.
By using TieUp, you agree:
- Use the Service at your own risk.
- TieUp’s review is limited to administrative access control; we do not verify listing safety or accuracy.
- You accept full responsibility for your actions, listings, and rentals.
- TieUp is not liable for any damages or disputes.
- Booking payments and identity verification are processed by Stripe; TieUp never collects or stores card numbers or identity documents, and deducts a 2.5% platform fee from dock-owner payouts on in-app bookings. We temporarily collect dock-verification information (including a photo) and delete it once verification is complete; information you include in a published listing is stored until removed. We also keep emails you send us.
- By using this Service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old or have consent from a legal guardian.
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Service.
- All communication and transactions between users take place independently. TieUp does not monitor, store, or facilitate communications.
- TieUp is not responsible for the actions, conduct, or communication between users. All disputes between renters and owners must be resolved independently of TieUp.
- TieUp strongly recommends that all users carry personal and property liability insurance.
